      During the construction of Jordan Dam and Lake Project by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in the 1970's, the church moved to its present location on SR 1750, Holland Chapel Road. According to Specifications for Cemetery Relocation, Group No. III, Exhibit D, Sheet 8 of 15, for Site 420-C, Contract DACW 21-75-B-0028, there were 303 graves in the cemetery. According to the Cemetery Index Map, Exhibit C, 368 graves were reinterred from the original location (L38.2) to Ebenezer A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Reinterment Site No. 3, (F80.1), on SR 1750, Holland Chapel Road. Exhibit D lists 81 legible grave markers and 222 unknown graves. In 1989, Robert Hughes recorded 66 of the 81 legible grave markers that had been moved during reinterment [Note 6]. In 1938, the County Home Register recorded Lucinda McCoy buried at Ebenezer (L38.2). She was reinterred also but no marker was found.
