      Restricted access: Private property.
      Enclosed by low concrete curbing. Graves covered by cracked concrete slab.
      Markers: Yes.
      Markers with inscriptions: Yes.
      Number of readable markers: 4.
      Last burial: 1884.
      First burial: 1862.
      Miscellaneous information: Shown on USGS map. Chatham County Censuses and Henry Harris's will indicate that Henry Harris owned hundreds of acres of land in the county and enslaved numerous people over several decades. Possible graves of enslaved persons have not been located. Henry's will lists sons John A. Harris and Edward W. Harris; and married daughters Eliza W., wife of William Rives; Mary Ann, wife of Elias Brooks; and Sarah, wife of William Dark.

  4. Harris, Maurice Milton   (b. 25 Dec 1835 - d. 12 Aug 1862)
      • Son of Henry and Eliza A. Harris. Died of wounds in Civil War / Co. G 48th NC.
